A taxpayer is allowed an annual job growth incentive tax credit against the tax imposed by chapter 31 or this chapter for creating qualifying net employee growth in the state.
Under this act, qualified data centers are exempt from certain taxes. Businesses will receive industry property tax abatements.
In the first 5 years after commencement of construction, qualifying improvements or modernized processes that represent new industry or expansion of an existing industry, businesses are taxed at 25% or 50% of their taxable value.
Subject to the conditions of this section, remodeling, reconstruction, or expansion of an existing commercial building may receive a property tax exemption during the construction period.
This state tax credit provides businesses financial incentive to launch new, or expand their current training programs through the Montana Registered Apprenticeship unit at the Montana Department of Labor & Industry.
An industrial park owned and operated by a local economic development organization or a port authority is eligible for an exemption from property taxes as provided in this section.
